Q1. What is Triandrobol ? Triandrobol is proprietary blend of numerous herbal ingredients intended to enhance testosterone concentrations. It is known that an increase in testosterone concentrations can lead to increased gains in muscle, strength and athletic performance (Bhasin and co-workers, 1996; Giorgi and co-workers, 1999). Triandrobol is therefore intended to be a nutritional supplement for those athletes wanting to maximise their anabolic potential. Q2. How much will Triandrobol increase your strength and performance by?
At this point in time this remains difficult to quantify and probably differs between individuals. Anecdotal reports indicate that Triandrobol when cycled for eight weeks on and one week off can produce remarkable gains in strength and muscle size. To date research investigating the magnitude of the performance enhancement provided by Triandrobol is not available, however Body Science is currently supporting several university research projects on Tribulus terrestris at this point in time. One study being conducted in 2004 is investigating the effect of Tribulus terrestris on the strength and muscle mass gains during pre-season training in elite Rugby League players. Once this and similar studies have been completed a more complete answer to this question can be provided. This illustrates the commitment that Body Science has to the research and development of its products. Q3. What is the best way to take Triandrobol? This is another area of research that Body Science is supporting in the near future. However, until that research completed the answer to this question is best based on feedback from consumers and the Body Science research and development team. Based on these anecdotal reports it is suggested that Triandrobol be consumed shortly prior to training for best results. Athletes ingesting Triandrobol prior to training report heightened energy levels and greater training intensity and focus. Q4. What is cycling and why is it recommended that Triandrobol be cycled? Cycling is a term that originated with anabolic steroid use and refers to a way of using steroids that is characterised by a period of administration followed by a similar period of abstinence before the administration is recommenced (George, 1996). Basically you use the steroid for a period of time, then stop for a while, then recommence another period of use or cycle. Applied to steroids cycling is used to try and prevent side effects and limit the body developing tolerance to the drug. The recommended cycling protocol for Triandrobol (eight weeks on one week off) is designed to try and stop the bodies endocrine or hormonal system becoming accustomed to Triandrobol . Like with any drug or supplement if you can stop the body becoming accustomed to its altered physiological state you can continue to experience the physiological effects of the drug or supplement. Q5. Will Triandrobol make your testicles shrink? Shrinking testicles can be a side effect of anabolic steroids such as testosterone. Taking testosterone basically results in your testicles stopping testosterone production due to a process known as negative feedback. Triandrobol does not contain testosterone and therefore would not produce testicular shrinkage associated with anabolic steroids. This is supported by the absence of anecdotal reports suggesting any adverse effects on gonadal size or function. Q6. Will Triandrobol increase Libido? It hasn't been scientifically tested as yet, however many individuals consuming Triandrobol have reported increased libido. Q7. Will Triandrobol cause increased aggression? Increased aggression is often associated with anabolic steroids and has been popularly termed "roid rage". A recent scientific study investigated whether Triandrobol would also have a side effect of increased aggression (Rogerson et al. 2003). The study compared the effects of 14 days supplementation with either Triandrobol (4 capsules per day) or placebo (inactive substance) in 20 healthy young male subjects. Results indicated that unlike anabolic steroids Triandrobol was not associated with any adverse effects on aggression levels. Q8. Is Triandrobol safe? Anabolic steroids can be associated with a number of adverse side effects including adverse effects on blood glucose and cholesterol levels. A recent independent scientific study was conducted to determine if Triandrobol was also associated with such adverse effects (Rogerson et al., 2003). Results indicated that 14 days supplementation with Triandrobol was not associated with any adverse effect on blood glucose, Tryglycerides, High Density Lipoprotein Cholesterol (HDLC) or Low Density Lipoprotein Cholesterol (LDLC). Furthermore no other adverse effects were noted in any of the subjects consuming Triandrobol during the research period. Research on similar herbal combinations have also reported no adverse effects on liver function during 14 days use (Street and co-workers, 2000). However like any supplement individuals should not consume Triandrobol at higher than recommended daily intakes and should consult a physician prior to beginning a new exercise or nutritional program. Q9. Will Triandrobol cause an athlete to test positive? No elite athlete sponsored by Body Science has tested positive despite the regular use of Triandrobol.
